In Värslan Sweden our team has removed a Führländer FL2500 from the tower and placed an adapter on the tower with a Vestas V90 2MW. The Führländer was new for us because we never worked on such a machine before. With the support of former Führländer technicians we managed to get the project prepared and executed in a safe way.

For the replacement, all engineering was done to make an adapter and make sure the new combination will work as expected. The adapter is the part installed on the existing tower to enable the new nacelle to fit on top of the tower. In the wind industry most dimensions are not standardised, meaning all wind turbine towers and other components do have different dimensions.

The site dimensions were limited to work on but good enough to get the job done. Weather conditions were good enough last week to start lifting on the Monday morning taking the rotor of the Führländer down. On Wednesday afternoon the last blade of the V90 was installed.

Our team appreciated the Swedish surrounding and mentality and want to do more in Sweden. Our forecast is including several projects in Sweden in 2025.
Business in Wind will exhibit during The Swedish Wind Energy Association (SWEA) on 22 and 23 October in Stockholm. It would be good to meet you there for projects in Sweden.
