Say, you go on vacation to Scotland, drive onto the ferry and park your car on a loading deck next to wind turbine blades, is that possible? Yes it is!
Because last weeks transport company Vlastuin was driving onto the ferry from the Netherlands to transport four complete Enercon E-70 turbines to Scotland. After over ten years of generating energy for Pure Energie in Hondtocht, the Netherlands, these four are going to do the same at their new location.
The drivers board at Europoort, IJmuiden and Hoek van Holland and driving off hours later at New Castle, Killingholme and Immingham towards their final destination in Strathallan.
Early next week the first hoist is scheduled and the installation period in that beautiful Scottish area will start.
We keep you posted, so to be continued.
