Before we decommission a wind turbine, we have thoroughly investigated the technical status. Every now and then we do recognize the status of a main bearing of an Enercon E-70 or E-82, where it is better to replace being on the ground.
This week we replaced the main bearing of an E-82 and are improving our tooling. For us this is going to happen more often, replacing Enercon main bearings. From this summer we expect to have hub for E-70 and E-82 on stock with new bearings ready to go. That will make replacements easier, have a ready to go hub at site, take the older one off and make it a one day job with a crane.
