Business in Wind is currently preparing the installation of a wind turbine in Stora Farsnäs, Sweden. The project involves installing an Enercon E-82 nacelle, hub, and rotor on a Fuhrländer tower. This setup requires significant modifications, as the steel Fuhrländer tower is much narrower than the Enercon’s concrete tower.
To accommodate these differences, a custom E-module is being developed, where the controls, transformer and converters will be stacked vertically. This set up is chosen to accommodate more tower types.

Business in Wind has created an initial sketch design for the E-module, which was then further refined in collaboration with Ploeg Industriële Dienstverlening BV. The final design features three stacked units, with a fourth floor serving as a lift platform. The first wind turbine is scheduled for installation in early May, with a second turbine planned for the autumn.
