An Enercon E-82 left the workshop with destination Sweden, to be installed on a Führländer tower. For this wind turbine, new E-modules were designed and prepared, the main bearings replaced and control system rebuilt with DEIF system.
Once the design for an E-module has been modified by the engineering department, it is assembled in our workshop. At the end of October, the E-module has been packed and ready for transport to Farsnas in Sweden.
One important change we have made is that the modules are now more ‘stand-alone’ and all floors are equipped with folding platforms. Climbing facilities have been added for safety reasons.
On site, they only need to be connected to each other. This makes the work on site faster and easier. Another advantage is that fewer lifting movements are required.
In order to attach an E-82 to a Fuhrlander tower, Breman in Genemuiden has manufactured an adapter designed by us. A completely new platform has also been installed in this adapter.
All these modifications also require adjustments to the entire cable run. To this end, we have made cable brackets that are attached to the existing brackets. Holes have been cut in the existing platforms for the brackets to pass through.
In the first turbine in Farsnas, the cables ran behind the stairs. In practice, this proved inconvenient when pulling the cables.
The E-82 also has cooling bags (45 m) that run up through the tower. To attach these, holes were cut in all platforms, into which the newly designed grid was placed to attach the cooling bags.
The second E 82 is now installed, being completed and commissioned now and expected to be operational before Christmas.
