Dutch Design Week

28 October 2022

About two years ago Wim came in contact with Blade Made and Super Use. Their question was whether Business in Wind could think along to create a business model. They wanted to make playground equipment, climbing walls, sound barriers and benches from wind turbine blades, among other things.
After a fascinating preliminary process and great collaboration, the result can now be seen at the Dutch Design Week.
Last Wednesday Wim drove to Eindhoven where he was invited for a photo opportunity with all collaboration partners.
It is wonderful to see how blades of discarded wind turbines can get a second life in the public space. Also the bottom is reuse of a residual product, because they use thousands of peach seeds that serve as fall protection soil.
Business in Wind is proud to be one of the partners that helped with this circular realization.

The photos accompanying this post begin with the final result and take you back to the start of this making process.
