Our specific lifting equipment is growing bigger, not only in quantity, also in dimensions. As we have the equipment for Vestas from the small ones up to now V112, V117 and V126, we can do more specific projects.

For that reason we were asked to assist in a blade bearing exchange in Germany for a Vestas V126 on 137m hub height. Some time ago we did a site inspection, to assure the as built is correct and have no surprises when starting the work, tooling will fit and is the space sufficient. After a few delays due to later delivery of the bearing and availability of a LG1800 crane, last week in very good weather conditions the bearing could be exchanged.

Preparations started on Monday. Wednesday the blade was on the ground and bearing has been replaced. For lifting the blade back again, the wind conditions were not good enough so that we could not lift, but time enough to tension the bearing bolts. On Thursday the blade was attached and one day later, the truck was already at our yard in Barneveld, The Netherlands, to offload all lifting equipment and the Vestas V126 in Germany was operational again.
